This is part of the social safeguard initiatives of the road infrastructure project whose interventions will be undertaken through the roads construction period and will mainly target the workers, employees at the road construction sites and the community along the project area. Specific Objectives
- To mainstream HIV/AIDS and gender considerations in the road project.
- To enhance HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention among project employees and communities within the project zone of influence.
- To enhance control of the spread of HIV/AIDS and STIs.
- To prevent and manage COVID-19 infectious disease.
- To enhance the inclusion of women in the project and maximize both direct and indirect benefits accruing to them.
- To establish methods for implementing drug abuse awareness and prevention programmes.
- To enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth and adolescents on sexual and reproductive health, leading to informed and responsible decision-making.
- To establish levels and principles of drug abuse prevention programmes in the counties along the project area.
- To increase awareness of the dangers of road construction works among project workers and the public.raw them into reading the rest of your content.
